About the Author
Anna Urbanek is a Polish-born, Finland-located, constantly curious librarian, a researcher, and a graphic designer working in the tabletop gaming industry. While not a botanist herself, with Herbalist’s Primer, she is paying her respects to all the botanists, gardeners, tincture-makers, kitchen witches, and pharmacists that appear suspiciously often in her genealogical tree.
She loves living on the intersection of natural sciences, folklore, occult, and roleplaying games. After the success of the Herbalist’s Primer, she is hoping to turn it into a series of Primers on various topics; the Geologist’s Primer is already in the works!
When she’s not delving into obscure topics, she is working with her partner Jakub Wisz on other Double Proficiency projects, such as Wayfarer’s Decks and Globetrotter’s Guides to Greenery.
